World AIDS Day: Odisha’s mining hub reports 174 HIV-positive cases in a year

Sundargarh district has detected 174 new HIV cases between October 2024 and October 2025. This mining hub has reported 1,540 HIV-positive cases since 2002. Awareness campaigns and screening programs are ongoing. Several centers across the district are designated for HIV testing. Efforts are underway to control HIV-AIDS in the region.
