Centre clears Rs 1,000 crore for Bengal rural roads, 1 lakh PMAY homes
The Centre has allocated one thousand crore rupees for rural roads in West Bengal. One lakh houses will be constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana. The Rural Welfare Ministry sanctioned eight thousand five hundred eight crore rupees for rural job schemes. Infrastructure works worth eighty-two thousand four hundred ninety-two crore rupees were previously stalled. These projects will now proceed at a faster pace with state government cooperation.
