West Bengal Chief Election Officer Manoj Agarwal appointed state's chief secretary

Manoj Agarwal, the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal, has been appointed as the state's new Chief Secretary. A 1990 batch IAS officer, Agarwal previously served as the food and supplies secretary and successfully conducted the 2026 Assembly polls. His appointment follows a day after Subrata Gupta was named advisor to the chief minister.
