A man, Gautam Kharwar, allegedly murdered his wife, Soni, in Chandauli district after a heated argument. He reportedly struck her with a hand pump handle and then disposed of her body in a forest. The crime surfaced when Soni's sister couldn't reach her and alerted the police. Kharwar confessed to the crime during interrogation.
