SC fines Agra farmhouse Rs 17L for felling 17 trees
The Supreme Court has fined the owners of a farmhouse in Agra's Dayalbagh Rs 17 lakh for illegally cutting down 17 trees in the eco-sensitive Taj Trapezium Zone. The court also directed them to allocate 0.3 hectares of land for the forest department to plant 340 new trees and maintain them for 10 years.
