Odisha government to shift slum dwellers from Utkal University campus for housing allotment
Odisha government is planning to relocate slum residents from Utkal University's Vani Vihar campus. The government will enumerate residents to provide land rights certificates. This will enable them to get houses under the PM Awas Yojana. BMC had earlier evicted vendors from the university land. Authorities are also working to remove illegal occupants from hostel rooms and quarters.
