KDMC and MPCB seize 500kg of banned plastic bags in Kalyan
The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) and the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) seized 500 kg of banned single-use plastic bags from a shop in Kalyan's flower market. The operation, led by MPCB's Rajendra Rajput and KDMC's Atul Patil, also levied a Rs 20,000 fine on shopkeeper Ramnath Gupta. KDMC urges the public to use paper or cloth bags instead.
