Karnataka: Police arrested man for snatching gold chain from elderly woman in Karkala
Udupi police have apprehended Sunil Ramesh Lamani, accused of snatching a gold chain from 80-year-old Kumuda Shetty in Ellare village, Karkala. Lamani approached Shetty at her home, feigning interest in CCTV cameras before forcibly stealing the chain, causing her injuries. Police recovered the stolen ornament and presented Lamani before a magistrate.
