In January, India remained Nepal's largest source of foreign tourists, with 20,485 Indian visitors, though this marked a 15.1 per cent decline from January 2024. The number of tourists from China, Nepal's second-largest market, increased by 12.7 per cent to 8,191. The US also saw a growth in visits, with 8,063 Americans arriving, a 14.9 per cent increase. Other notable sources of tourism included Bangladesh, Australia, South Korea, the UK, Thailand, Bhutan, and Japan.
