The Karnataka High Court has observed that India being a secular country does not mean Dharmic and cultural activities cannot be allowed. The court made the remarks while setting aside a Bengaluru civic body order that had denied permission to Malleshwaram Brahmana Sabha to hold Shankaracharya Jayanti at an auditorium in Sankey Tank Park.
