Half of Maharashtra's 100 EVM check pleas stuck in election petitions
Over 50% of the EVM-VVPAT applications filed after Maharashtra assembly polls are linked to election petitions, many from the INDIA bloc alleging malpractices. The process of Checking & Verification (C&V) has been started for around 50 applications. Similar allegations have surfaced in Haryana with the opposition demanding transparency from the Election Commission.
