Coimbatore: Wild tusker electrocuted after electric pole falls
A 30-year-old wild tusker was electrocuted in Coimbatore district after an electric pole fell on it. The elephant, which had strayed from the reserve forest, knocked down the pole while attempting to cross solar fencing on private land. Forest officials recovered the carcass for postmortem and burial.
