Bitumen scam: CBI court convicts ex-Bihar minister, 4 others
A special CBI court in Ranchi has sentenced former Bihar Minister Md. Illiyas Hussain and four others to three years in prison and fined them Rs 32 lakh each for their involvement in a 27-year-old bitumen transportation scam. The investigation revealed that no bitumen was transported from Haldia as claimed, and it was sold in the open market instead.
