Beed sarpanch murder: CID links suspects to extortion, organised crime syndicate
Two suspects in the abduction-murder case of Massajog sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh were arrested in Pune. Another suspect, who allegedly provided the sarpanch's location to the killers, was apprehended in Kalyan. The court handed over their custody to the state CID till Jan 18. Investigations are ongoing to unravel details of the case and trace the remaining suspects.
