7 Maoists surrender to Sukma Police
Seven hardcore Maoists, including a couple, surrendered to Sukma police, motivated by the Chhattisgarh Naxalism Eradication and Rehabilitation Policy and the ‘Niyad Nella Nar’ scheme. Among them, three carried an ?8 lakh reward, and four had a ?2 lakh bounty. They cited the police influence and the inhumane ideology of the Naxalite organization as reasons for their surrender.
