5 including 2 brothers die of suffocation inside well in Meghalaya
Five individuals perished from suffocation inside a well at a Shillong construction site. Four labourers were overcome by generator fumes while pumping water from the well. Two brothers attempted a rescue after one labourer sought help. They too succumbed to the toxic fumes while inside the confined space. The State Rescue Team retrieved all five victims who were later declared dead.
