Women lead full-time MBA applications: Growth seen worldwide; flexible programmes rise

Women have surpassed men in applications to full-time MBA programmes worldwide, according to the GMAC 2025 Application Trends Survey. Full-time, two-year MBA programmes saw 63% of schools reporting growth in female applicants, while online and flex MBA programmes also experienced increases. Women make up roughly 41% of full-time MBA applicants and dominate Master of Marketing and Accounting applications. Executive MBA and Master of Finance programmes remain male-dominated.
