Railways has initiated a tender for a 58 km third line construction from Khurda Road to Gangadharpur, costing Rs 501 crore. This project aims to decongest the busy Howrah-Chennai mainline, enabling increased passenger and goods train operations and benefiting industries. The work is expected to be completed within 30 months.
