Shaurya Squadron: Army mulls armoured sub‑unit, signals big shift in tech‑led warfare

The Indian Army is reshaping itself into a leaner, more agile force as part of its modernization drive. New structures such as Integrated Battle Groups, Shaktibaan Regiments, Divyastra Batteries, and Ashni platoons are being introduced to enable rapid deployment and precision strikes. The Shaurya Squadron, still in concept phase, is envisioned as a drone and counter-drone element.
