Shahid Kapoor's next to be a body-swapping sci-fi comedy with Amit Sharma; Kiara Advani or Janhvi Kapoor to lead - Report

Shahid Kapoor has officially signed on for an untitled sci-fi body-swap comedy directed by Amit Sharma of 'Maidaan' fame, following a married couple who swap bodies after a failed experiment. Kiara Advani and Janhvi Kapoor are both in discussions for the female lead with the latter marking a fresh first-time pairing. The film goes on floors in late 2026 targeting a mid-2027 release. Shahid is currently filming 'Farzi' Season 2 for Prime Video India and will next be seen in Homi Adajania's 'Cocktail 2' co-starring Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon, releasing June 21, 2026.
