Southern Railway is scheduling two additional MEMU special trains to manage the increased number of passengers traveling for Pongal. The trains will run between Madurai and Chennai Egmore. The first train will depart from Madurai on January 15, and the second will leave from Chennai Egmore on January 18. Both trains are unreserved.
