"Padhe Rohtak, Likhe Rohtak" puts Rohtak on fast track to 100% foundational learning by March 2026
Rohtak district has launched the “Padhe Rohtak, Likhe Rohtak” initiative to achieve 100% Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) by March 2026. Targeting Classes 1 to 5, the programme introduces a daily 40-minute “Zero Period,” Digital Skill Passbooks, and NIPUN Vatikas to strengthen early learning. Parental involvement is encouraged through Mother–Teacher Circles. Early results show reading proficiency rising from 28% to 64% and subtraction skills from 44% to 78%, positioning Rohtak as a model for education reform in Haryana.
