Neutral Switzerland joins Nato ammunition procurement partnership

Although Switzerland has maintained military neutrality since 1815 and is not a member of Nato, it has worked with the alliance's procurement agency for the past 30 years. It already takes part in joint support programmes involving air-to-air missiles, the Stinger surface-to-air missile system and the Patriot air defence system. With its latest decision, Switzerland has expanded that cooperation by joining the ammunition partnership.
