Mumbai–Pune rail traffic resumes on single line after 44-hour disruption due to heavy rain

Late Monday night, train services between Mumbai and Pune resumed on a single line after being suspended for around 44 hours due to landslides in the Lonavala ghat section. Efforts are ongoing to restore the remaining two lines, with a targeted reopening by Wednesday. More than 1,100 workers are tirelessly clearing debris and repairing tracks, while services will remain regulated until complete restoration is achieved.
