Karnataka: Couple arrested for cheating public in the name of investment
Mulki police have arrested a couple, Richard D’Souza and Rashmi Rita Pinto, for allegedly defrauding residents of Kinnigoli of approximately Rs 1.5 crore through a fraudulent investment scheme. The duo, who had been absconding for over a year, were apprehended and produced before the court, with D’Souza remanded to judicial custody.
