Delhi polls: More 1,000 cases of MCC violation lodged, say police
Since the Model Code of Conduct came into force on January 7, Delhi Police have recorded 1,076 cases of MCC violations, arresting or detaining 34,250 people. Authorities have seized numerous illegal items including firearms, liquor, and drugs. Over Rs 220 crores worth of seizures have been reported by the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer.
