Twelve years after leaving the Cameroon team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and later facing homelessness, Cyrille Tchatchet II returned to Glasgow to win silver for England. With his mother watching him compete in person for the first time, the refugee Olympian and mental health nurse completed all six lifts and finished with a 374-kilogram total in the 110-kilogram event.
