Chennai airport bust: 2 flyers nabbed for smuggling 8 exotic species
Customs officials at Chennai airport seized eight exotic species from two passengers arriving from Kuala Lumpur. The haul included endangered Eastern Grey Gibbons, marbled polecats, a silvery lutung, and a Sumatran white-bearded palm civet. The Wildlife Crime Control Bureau identified the species before live animals were deported back, and the smugglers were taken into custody.
