After Maharashtra, MP govt slashes allocation for Laadli Behna scheme for FY26
Madhya Pradesh has reduced Laadli Behna scheme funding from Rs 18,984 crore to Rs 18,669 crore for FY25. Initially offering Rs 1000 to married women aged 21-60, it rose to Rs 1250 monthly. Maharashtra's similar scheme saw a Rs 10,000 crore cut amidst its highest debt projection of Rs 9.3 lakh crore and a steep revenue deficit.
