Additional tehsildar arrested for taking bribe
An additional tahsildar in Belaguntha was apprehended by vigilance sleuths for accepting a Rs 10,000 bribe. He had detained a sand-laden tractor since February 5 without proper documentation and demanded the bribe to release it, even after collecting a Rs 30,000 fine. The full bribe amount was recovered.
