Indian Grandmaster Nihal Sarin won the Tata Steel Chess India Rapid title, sealing victory with a draw against Viswanathan Anand, a day after his maternal grandfather passed away. Nihal dedicated the win to him. Anand finished second, Arjun Erigaisi third. In the women’s event, Russia’s Kateryna Lagno claimed the title, ahead of Aleksandra Goryachkina and Divya Deshmukh.
