Uttar Pradesh expands medical education: 950 MBBS seats; 271 PG seats added
Uttar Pradesh MBBS seats: Uttar Pradesh has approved the addition of 950 MBBS and 271 PG seats across government and private medical colleges for the 2025-26 academic session. Government colleges will gain 200 MBBS and 233 PG seats, while private institutions will add 750 MBBS and 38 PG seats. This expansion increases total MBBS seats to 12,800 and total PG seats to 4,297, aiming to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, enhance medical education capacity, and address doctor shortages across urban and rural areas in the state.
